Training services provided

Seeding Victoria staff deliver  training in relation to seed collection, storage, propogation, germination testing and direct seeding. We can tailor a day to your specific groups requirements. Please contact us to discuss your groups needs.

If you are interested in training either for yourself or your group please contact us with your request. If there is sufficient interest in a topic we will endevour to meet your needs.

Upcoming training events will be posted on the calender on this site. You can also email your details and let us know the type of training you are interested in and we will then notify you of any upcoming events which may be suitable.

Informal training days

We run a number of one day workshops each year to give groups an introduction to seed collection and species identification. These can be run here at the seed bank or in you local area. Details of any upcoming events are listed in the events listing.

Accredited Seed Collection Training

A 5 day Seeds to Success course  is usually run annually. This covers seed collection, cleaning, species identification, propogation, storage and utilisation in the landscape in more detail. We will post details of the next course on the calender when it is scheduled.  If you are interested in attending this course you can email us with you expression of interest and we will then advise you when the next course is commencing.  This course covers units from the the Conservation and Land Management Certificate and is run in conjunction with South West Tafe.
