With careful preparation and planning (on your part and ours) we can grow the species you need from locally sourced seed. For us to best supply your needs we require your seedling order at least 6 months prior to the commencment of your plantingso we can ensure species and quanity.

MEDIA RELEASE: "Creswick Nursery still growing plants"

The retail side of Creswick Nursery will close on Sunday 27 of November 2011. A sale of all retail stock will begin on Saturday 19 November and continue till the closing date.

Seeding Victoria, which is a non-profit organisation that encourages revegetation by collecting, storing and selling native seed, took over the Creswick Nursery in January 2010.

Manager, Chris Gartlan points out that the closure is due to circumstances beyond Seeding Victoria’s control. A widespread downturn in the retail and revegetation industries, 3 floods events and changes in staffing, means that the Nursery will no longer be open to the public selling garden and general purpose plants as it has historically done’,

Chris says, ‘We want to stress that the Nursery will still grow and sell tube stock of local native plants. Orders are still being taken for the 2012 autumn and spring planting seasons, We will be available by appointment only, phone 03 5345 2200. Seeding Victoria – Creswick Nursery looks forward to continuing to support local revegetation projects into the future.’
